COVID-19 Safety Precautions
In order to help keep a clean and safe environment for our healing community, we are taking several extra safety precautions which are outlined below. Thank you for helping to keep our offices a safe healing space for all.

Practitioner Health, Safety and PPE
- All patients will be pre-screened before their appointment. You will receive a Patient Advisory and Acknowledgement For Receiving Treatment Sessions During COVID-19 via my scheduling system Jane, 24 hours before your appointment. Please fill out and sign this form at least 1 hour before your scheduled appointment time.
- You may be asked to stay home and reschedule your appointment if:
- You have experienced any cold, flu, or possible COVID-19 symptoms in the last 3 days. Please following CDC guidelines for testing and self-quarantine.
- You have had a possible known exposure to COVID-19 in the last 14 days. Please follow CDC guidelines for testing and self-quarantine.
- You have no symptoms, but have had a positive COVID-19 test result in the last 10 days. Please follow CDC guidelines for testing and self-quarantine.
- If you have traveled internationally in the last 7 days. Please follow CDC guidelines for testing and self-quarantine.
Mask Policy
- Sunset Healing Arts: Please wear a mask to your appointment. I will wear a mask while in the treatment room with you.
- New Life Chiropractic: Masks are optional.
Patient PPE and Appointment Protocols
- Please wear loose comfortable clothing to your appointment so that your arms and legs are easily accessible. Consider the parts of the body that I may need to access. For example, consider wearing a tank top with thin straps and a low back if cupping the upper back is necessary, or consider wearing shorts if you are coming in for knee pain.
- Please proceed to the bathroom to wash your hands before heading to the treatment room.
- After your treatment, payment will be charged electronically to your credit card on file.
Sanitizing Protocols
- Treatment tables, face cradles and bolsters will be sanitized between every patient.
- Note that we will not be using blankets. We have heat lamps, space heaters and extra sheets if necessary to keep you warm during your treatments.
- Wrist pillows will be covered with something washable or disposable and changed between patients.
- Hands will be washed before handling clean laundry. Laundry will be stored and washed in accordance with acupuncture council guidelines.
Practitioner Health, Safety and PPE
- I will properly wash my hands immediately upon arrival to the office, and as needed before entering and after leaving the treatment room.
- I will be wearing designated work clothes, and will change clothes if necessary between patients.
- I will stay home and cancel our appointment if:
- I have had any cold, flu, or possible COVID-19 symptoms in the last 3 days and have not had a negative COVID-19 test result, and will follow recommended CDC guidelines before returning to work.
- I have had a possible known exposure to COVID-19 in the last 14 days, and will follow recommended CDC guidelines before returning to work.
- I have no symptoms, but have had a positive COVID-19 test result in the last 10 days, and will follow recommended CDC guidelines before returning to work.
- I have traveled internationally in the last 7 days, and will follow recommended CDC guidelines before returning to work.
