After suffering severe back and spinal cord trauma, I was recommended by a close friend to see Kristen.  I had lost all feeling in one leg and both feet, and this baffled all my doctors and still does to this day. However, weekly sessions with Kristen have really improved my well being. Now my back pain is very minimal and only the tips of my toes are slightly numb and I see consistent improvement weekly. Kristen really listens to me and always comes up with a plan to address my current issues.  

I have had cupping sessions, acupuncture, herbs and FSM (frequency specific micro current) and I always see an improvement in my abilities week after week. In addition to freeing me from pain, Kristen has also alleviated my allergies which have bothered me since childhood.

My daughter suffers from severe TMJ and again, Kristen was the only person who can and did get her some relief.

"I have been trying Kristen's regimen for new phototherapy patches for a week, and I find them to be very helpful as an alternative treatment method when you can't go in for acupuncture. After a tele-video consultation, Kristen comes up with an individualized plan for your treatment with the patches. The plan consists of a detailed introduction to the LifeWave patches and phototherapy, as well as instructions on what to do (water intake, supplements) and a detailed timeline of when to apply and remove patches. You place the patches on acupuncture points to stimulate these points and create a desired effect on the body. I felt my sleep quality and stress improving in just the first two days of applying these patches. It's great having the effects of an acupuncture session but you get to be pro-active in your own treatment with Kristen's expert guidance!”

“After being mildly traumatized by a czar-like yoga instructor I had way back in college, I was reluctant to start up yoga again, especially in a city like San Francisco where everyone and their mother totes around posh yoga mats in their own bedazzled carrying cases.

One night, as the N-Judah was moseying down Irving, I noticed that Paresh Martial Arts was offering 3 yoga classes for only $20 (what a deal!!) and I had been looking for a new way to spice up my workout routine. (Running around Golden Gate Park is only so much fun...)  I decided that if I hated the first class, it was only $20, so why not?

I LOVED IT! Kristen is an awesome instructor. She's super friendly, knowledgeable and oh-so-flexible - like you'd expect a yoga instructor to be. She's great about telling you individually what you should be doing to improve your poses (not like calling you out in the middle of class like my former instructor, but in that nice, caring sort of way). Anyway I've been going to classes here ever since and can already see the definition in my arms and abs. The classes are all different, so we're not doing the same poses each week, and they're small, so you're not tripping over your classmates.”

This place is fantastic. There's soothing music in the background, dim relaxing lighting, and I loved the instructor I had this Monday evening. She has a very soothing voice and goes around the room gently correcting everyone and molding their body into the perfect pose. I went to Paresh for Kristen's yoga class on a Monday night at 7:30pm (she also does Wednesday's at the same time),  and was very impressed.

I have been to several yoga shops, and Kristen runs her's the best. She has a soft, maternal style - yet still provides an intense workout.
